Private villa wedding near Puerto Escondido

An intimate beach wedding with the full property to yourselves.

Mikasa is a secluded oceanfront villa in Puertecito for couples planning a private 20-60 guest celebration, with five king bedrooms, two polished bunk rooms, sunset photos, dinner by the sea, and a quick date-fit check before anyone builds a full wedding plan.

Why this works

A villa wedding for couples who want privacy, ocean, and freedom.

This is not a ballroom or a resort package. Mikasa is for couples who want a private house, a dramatic beachfront setting, flexible local vendors, and enough distance from neighbors to let the night feel alive.

Guest-loved property

The villa is already proven as a private stay, with guest feedback around the views, space, privacy, and quiet coastal setting.

Secluded by design

The villa sits away from dense hotel zones, with the closest neighbor roughly 100 meters away.

DJ-friendly by design

DJs and late celebrations can work here. After midnight, music volume comes down, but there is not a hard music-off rule.

Flexible vendors

Bring your planner, chef, bartender, florist, rentals, and production team, or ask for local referrals.

Private lodging

Keep your closest group on-site across five king bedrooms and two polished bunk rooms while other guests stay nearby.

Indoor gathering space

The living area gives you a polished interior option for getting ready, speeches, smaller gatherings, or weather backup.

Capacity and lodging

Comfortable for 20-60 guest celebrations, with full-property lodging for your closest group.

Special-event bookings are full-property takeovers. Most couples use Mikasa as the private celebration base, then keep immediate family, wedding party, or closest friends on-site overnight.

20-60 event guests

Best fit for an intimate wedding, micro-wedding, welcome dinner, elopement party, or private beachfront reception. Event use is quoted separately from a standard overnight stay.

16 comfortable sleepers

The event takeover includes five king bedrooms for 10 guests, one bunk room for 4, and one queen-bottom bunk room for 2-3 more. We quote 16 comfortably and up to 17 by arrangement.

How inquiries work

Quick fit check first. Full quote second.

Wedding pricing depends on date, guest count, number of nights, vendor needs, and setup complexity. You do not need a finished planner brief to start. Send the basics, and we will tell you whether Mikasa is realistic before asking for the deeper plan.

Step 1

Send four basics

Date range, celebration guest count, overnight guest count, and rough property/event budget.

Step 2

We check reality

We look at calendar fit, guest fit, sleeping setup, starting structure, and obvious house-rule issues.

Step 3

Then share the wedding shape

If it looks realistic, we ask about ceremony, dinner, reception, DJ, vendors, setup, and planner needs.

Step 4

Quote the right scope

If the date and fit work, we send the best next step: quote, site visit, or planner conversation.

Starting points

Wedding use is quoted separately from a normal villa stay.

A wedding quote combines the full-property lodging buyout, a tiered event-use fee, required cleaning or site support, and a $3,500 refundable damage/security deposit. Vendor, planner, catering, rentals, transport, and permit costs are separate unless specifically quoted.

Elopement stay

From about $3,500 property minimum

For very small ceremonies or dinners with low setup impact, still quoted as a full-property special-event takeover.

Private villa wedding

From about $6,500 before vendors

For a 20-60 guest ceremony plus dinner or reception. Use a tiered flat event fee: $1,500 for 21-40 guests and $2,500 for 41-60 guests.

High-complexity celebration

Custom quote only

Site rep and extra cleaning are required for 30+ guests or any DJ/amplified music event. Security is case-by-case for 40+ guests, open bar, or late-night plans.

Quick fit check

Check the wedding fit before you build the whole plan.

The fastest way to start is WhatsApp. A short first message is enough to confirm whether your date, guest count, overnight needs, and budget range are in the right zone.

  • Preferred wedding date or date range
  • Estimated guest count for the celebration
  • How many people need to sleep at the property and preferred rooming style
  • Approximate budget range for the property and event use
  • Optional for the first message: DJ, catering, rentals, planner, or outside vendors

Wedding FAQ

Useful details before you inquire.

Is Mikasa best for large weddings?

No. Mikasa is best for intimate weddings and private villa celebrations. The comfortable event range is about 20-60 guests, depending on layout, vendors, music, transport, and overnight needs.

Can guests sleep at the property?

Yes. Special-event takeovers include the full property: five king bedrooms plus two polished bunk rooms. Mikasa sleeps 16 comfortably and up to 17 by arrangement.

Can we have a DJ?

Yes. DJs and parties are normal at the property. After midnight, music volume needs to come down a bit, but there is not a hard music-off rule. The final quote still confirms timing, equipment, vendor access, and any support needed.

Can we bring outside vendors?

Yes. You can bring a planner, catering, bartending, rentals, florals, sound, and other vendors. We can also point you toward trusted local options.

Where is the villa?

The villa is in Puertecito, near Puerto Escondido and along the Oaxaca coast between Puerto Escondido and Mazunte/Zipolite.

Do you publish wedding prices?

We publish starting points, then use a quick fit check before quoting. That keeps the first step light while still protecting the property, the date, and the couple from a vague package that does not match the actual plan.
